About this beach
Polzeath is a wide, sandy bay in the mouth of the river Camel near Wadebridge. It is popular with families and surfers and is a stage for numerous beach and surf events. A wide, flat beach with some shelter from winds, it sees good quality surf and is quite often extremely crowded, particularly towards high tide when the beach is narrower.
