Conwy History

1966 An inshore lifeboat station was established in June with a D class lifeboat.

1970 Thanks of the Institution Inscribed on Vellum were awarded to Crew Members Brian Jones, Ronald Craven and Trevor Jones for rescuing two men from the cabin cruiser Fulmar, which had broken down west of Llandudno. In force 5–7 winds, shallow water and heavy broken seas the ILB had to make two runs alongside so the two men could jump to safety.

1995 The D class lifeboat, D-482 Arthur Bate, was placed on service on 21 June. This was provided from the bequest of the late Arthur Charles Bate.

2004  The D class lifeboat, D-627 Arthur Bate II, was placed on service.
